Bellaire Crime Report: Sept. 30 Through Oct. 5

A Bellaire Police Officer was dispatched at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 30 to the 5400 block of Bissonnet in response to a verbal disturbance between a man and a woman. No charges were filed.

 

Around 9:45 p.m. Sept. 30, police were called to the 4600 block of Evergreen due to a family disturbance. Police met with the victim and the suspect, and it was determined by police that the suspect assaulted the victim in an attempt to stop the victim from leaving the residence. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office refused to accept charges.

 

A woman’s car was broken into and her purse stolen on Oct. 1 in the 5300 block of Bellaire Blvd. A witness told police he saw a black male break the window of the victim’s car and take her purse. The incident is under investigation.

 

A woman came to the Bellaire Police Station on Oct. 2 and told police that while she was shopping at HEB around 2:30 p.m. Oct. 1, someone stole her wallet from her purse. The incident is under investigation.

 

A woman came to the police station around 5:40 p.m. Oct. 2 to report a burglary of a motor vehicle.

 

An attempted house burglary was reported in the 4800 block of Holly around 6 p.m. Oct. 3. The incident is under investigation.

 

The owner of a store in the 6700 block of Chimney told police that a black man grabbed an engine from the counter in his store and walked out without paying on Oct. 4. The incident is under investigation.

 

A man allegedly stole a rotisserie chicken from the Randall’s grocery store at 5130 Bellaire Boulevard on Oct. 4. Employees of the store said the man, Carlos Perez, 25, took the chicken without paying and left the store, walking towards the Bellaire Transit Center. Perez was taken into custody for public intoxication and theft.

 

A resident of the 5300 block of Jessamine reported his Go-Kart was stolen from his driveway some time between Sept. 27 and Oct. 4. The incident is under investigation.

 

A woman in the 5600 block of Innsbruck called police around 4:27 p.m. Oct. 4 in reference to an assault in progress. The woman told police her husband had her pinned up against the wall. Once police arrived, the husband was no longer at the house. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office would not accept charges on the husband.

 

An unknown suspect forced entry into a home in the 5200 block of Holly around 2:18 p.m. Oct. 5 and ransacked the master bedroom. The incident is under investigation.
