Being an African American this story outrages and saddens me at the same time. Not only or for Rob Tolan but the fact that an African American is 12 times more likely to be pulled over than a white person. I felt that even if there wasn't any wrong doing by the Bellaire police that Mayor Cindy Siegel's comments were calis and insensitive. She is clearly a republican like the great George Bush. He too by his actions after Katrina seemed as if it wasn't a priority just like Siegel. I agree with Mr. Tolan's attournys that the Mayor should step down the numbers from what I understand came from her police departments reports!! And FYI i'm not even from Texas I can only imagine what a law abiding Afican American citizen from Bellaire is feeling. I wasn't aware that it is still 1960 in Bellaire, TX!! Wow!!!!
