A robbery victim was run over by a car after her purse was stolen on March 28. The victim was assaulted and robbed at 5410 West Loop South, Foundation Hospital, around 6:48 a.m. After she was assaulted, the suspect ran her over with his vehicle. There is no description of the suspect, a black man, or the vehicle. The victim was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
A 52-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting from a store in the 5100 block of Cedar around 10:19 a.m. March 23. Police were dispatched to the store, where the manager told officers that he and an employee saw Ronald R. Richardson taking items from the store without paying for them. According to police reports, Richardson as two prior convictions for theft and was arrested and later charged with felony theft.
Bellaire police took two theft reports from Bellaire High School, a cell phone on March 24 and a wallet on March 27. The cell phone theft was reported late due to spring break. The victim whose wallet was reported stolen told police the wallet was taken from the orchestra room on March 26 and on the same day someone used her credit/debit cards to make several food purchases at various fast food restaurants in Houston and Bellaire.
Gary Jenkins, 30, and Samuel Rollins, 28, were both arrested for felony theft after it was discovered that they were allegedly stealing multiple demo cellular phone from T-Mobile stores in Houston and Bellaire. Police say the two were cutting the security cables from the phones, and walking out of the stores with them. The pair stolen phones from the T-Mobile store at 5311 Bellaire Blvd. and from multiple Houston locations.
A Bellaire High School student was arrested then released to his parents on March 24 after police say the student was in possession of 7 grams of marijuana.
Unknown suspects attempted to break into a car in the 6500 block of West Loop South on March 24. The victim’s car lock was damaged.
A woman in the office building at 5959 West Loop South reported her cell phone stolen from her purse on March 25.
Raul Portillo, 37, was arrested on March 25 after a traffic stop revealed a fake inspection sticker.
Thief using an unauthorized key stole property from a car parked in the 5420 West Loop South Foundation Hospital parking garage on March 26.
A resident in the 4800 block of Wedgewood told police on March 27 that her engagement ring was either lost or stolen from her jewelry box.
