Three robberies were reported to Bellaire police between 6:15 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. July 15. The victims were all women, and their purses were taken by force, although no weapon was used. The robberies occurred in the 4900 block of Linden, the 4500 block of Plametto and the 5000 block of Pine.
The victims all told police they were approached by a car containing black women and men. The cars were described as a gold Impala, a small gray car and a white Toyota, possibly a Camry. Police are investigating.
