Community, Things to Do

Representatives from the nation’s top-tier universities tomorrow will participate in a round table discussion and panel presentation for parents and high school students to learn about how to gain admission and secure financial aid.

The universities in attendance at the Dec. 15 event include Brown, Harvard, Rice, Stanford, Vanderbilt and Yale. Representatives will discuss the types of students their universities look for, the coursework prospective students should complete prior to admission, types of financial aid available, and more.

The event is Dec. 15 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the board auditorium of the Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center, 4400 W. 18th Street.
