Nine Bellaire High School soccer players found themselves the victims of theft last week when a thief hit an unlocked storage locker and stole the players’ belongings.

The crime happened on Dec. 11 sometime between 3:30 and 5 p.m. It was just one of a higher-than-usual number of incidents reported at the high school last week.

On Dec. 9, Bellaire police visited the school because a student said that two girls attacked her in the restroom. Police are investigating the incident as an assault causing bodily injury.

Police with the Houston Independent School District called Bellaire police for help on Dec. 9 because a student had tried to use fake money. The 16-year-old suspect had tried to use a counterfeit $20 bill, which is considered forgery.

Police arrested a man for criminal trespassing at Bellaire High School on Dec. 10. An HISD officer had given the man a warning over a year ago, and when he found the suspect on the campus again he detained him for criminal trespassing.

On Dec. 10, a woman at the high school called police to report that someone had stolen her cell phone.
