With freezing temperatures on the way tonight, schools are bracing themselves to make sure classes run smoothly tomorrow.
According to a statement by the Houston Independent School District, all schools plan to leave their heating systems on overnight to ensure comfortable temperatures for students tomorrow. Maintenance crews will arrive at schools at 5 a.m. to check all systems, and heating repair crews will be on hand for any temperature issues that arise. Over the weekend, maintenance personnel will visit schools to make sure things are operational for school on Monday.
