The Bellaire Fire Department is hosting a seminar on Thursday to teach residents how to recognize the symptoms of heart attacks and respond to them.
The seminar features Dr. Colin Barker, an interventional cardiologist at the University of Texas Medical School and the Memorial Hermann Heart and Vascular Institute. The lecture is Feb. 18 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bellaire Civic Center, 7008 S. Rice Ave.
During the seminar, attendees can learn about identifying signs of a heart attack, what to do when people suffer heart attacks, and how to prevent attacks.
