Bellaire police arrested a drunk driver last week after finding the man, who was not even old enough to drink, driving on the wrong side of the road.
An officer saw the driver’s Ford Focus going the wrong way in the 4900 block of Bellaire Boulevard around 2:45 a.m. on Feb. 15. Police conducted a field sobriety test and determined that the driver, 20-year-old Cesar Garcia, was drunk. Garcia was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.
After returning to the Bellaire Police Station, the officer discovered that Garcia had also given him a false name. Garcia now faces additional charges of failure to identify and possession of identifying information.
