Council Names Li Boynton As Outstanding Citizen

Li Boynton, an 18-year-old student at Bellaire High School, was recently named an Outstanding Citizen of the City of Bellaire. Boynton earned a $65,000 award in a top science competition with her invention of a novel, cheap way of testing water for contamination. For her accomplishment, she was invited to sit with First Lady Michelle Obama during this year’s State of the Union address.
