Juvenile Gets Arrested For Fleeing Twice In Two Days

A 16-year-old male tried running away from police after he was arrested for giving them false information.

The 16-year-old male was riding a bicycle when he was stopped by police in the 7500 block of Ferris on May 24. He didn’t have any identification and gave the police false information.

As he was getting booked into the Bellaire jail, he tried running out the door. Police caught him before he made it to the street.

The 16-year-old was then charged with escape.

Police also discovered that the male had stolen a vehicle and parked it in the 5200 block of Holly.

The next day, the 16-year-old was released and was caught trying to steal the vehicle that he had parked on Holly Street.

Police saw the juvenile inside the parked vehicle and when they approached the male tried running away.

The 16-year-old caused damage to the steering column on the stolen vehicle.

He was charged with evading and attempted auto theft.
