Houston Teen Bribes Bellaire Police Officer Into Not Going To Jail

A 17-year-old Houston resident was arrested for trying to bribe a Bellaire Police officer to avoid from going to jail, police said.

Jemma Simpson was being transferred from the Harris County Precinct 5 Deputy Constable to the Bellaire Police for an outstanding warrant on July 9, police said.

Bellaire Police were in the parking lot of 5270 Beechnut when Simpson offered the officer $200 in exchange for not taking her to jail, police said.

The officer arrested Simpson for bribery, police said.
