During its regular meeting at 7 p.m., Bellaire City Council may approve an ordinance to appoint a medical director for Bellaire Medical Emergency Service.
The Bellaire Fire Department is recommending to council to appoint Dr. Bhushan Kukkalli as medical director beginning Aug. 1 and expiring Jan. 31, 2011.
Bellaire Medical Emergency Service is an advanced life support ambulance service and they are required by Texas law to have a medical director.
Council may also vote to approve an ordinance to call a public hearing, regarding the 2011 proposed budget.
If approved, the public hearing would be held Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. in the council chambers.
Tonight’s regular city council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the council chambers, 7008 S. Rice Ave.
