Bellaire Police were called to investigate a disturbance at 10:04 a.m. the 6500 block of West Loop South on July 16.
A male victim told police he had been assaulted by another man and there were several witnesses to the incident.
During the investigation police found Dennis Freemont, 42, to be in possession of six Vicodin pills, without a prescription, police said.
Freemont was charged with assault-elderly and possession of a controlled substance.
