HISD Launches ‘Myth Busters’ To Clarify Misinformation, Rumors

HISD launched a new feature to its website called “Myth Busters” to keep accurate and up-to-date information about the districts programs and operations.

Myth Busters is dedicated to clarifying misinformation or rumors that often circulate in the district or community.

“Our hope is that parents, staff, and members of the community will turn to this resource not only to validate information but as a way to ask questions about what they are hearing,” said Chief Communications Officer Aggie Alvez. This feature on our website will allow us to make sure everyone has the facts.”

The “HISD Myth Busters” page already resolves two myths; one regarding a reduction in special education teacher positions and the other regarding funding for summer school, prekindergarten and the Apollo 20 project.
