Bellaire police are investigating several home burglaries that occurred between Aug. 9 and Aug. 16.
On Aug. 9, police responded to a burglary alarm in the 4600 block of Cedar around 9:23 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found that the home was broken into and the suspects had fled the scene.
The homeowner was not home at the time and still hasn’t returned to take inventory of the items that could be missing, police said.
On Aug. 11, an unknown suspect stole a bicycle from an open garage in the 500 block of S. Third St.
On Aug. 11, an unknown suspect broke into a home in the 4800 block of Pine St. around 7:40 p.m. and stole a computer and two TV’s.
On Aug. 13, police were dispatched to a home that had been broken into in the 100 block of Bellaire Ct.
Police determined that the burglar forced entry into the home through the front doors.
The burglar stole jewelry from the home.
On Aug. 15, police were called to a home that had been broken into in the 4600 block of Huisache.
The home owner said the house was broken into between 6 p.m. on Aug. 11 and 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 15.
The burglar had ransacked several rooms and stole jewelry.
On Aug. 16, police responded to a burglary alarm in the 4500 block of Beech around 11:36 a.m.
Officers noticed that the bottom glass portion of the back patio door was smashed.
The burglar stole an iPod, a camera, a cell phone and jewelry, police said.
