17-Year-Old Houston Resident In Stable Condition After Falling Through Church Roof

A 17-year-old Houston resident is in stable condition after falling through a skylight on the roof of Bellaire United Methodist Church, 4417 Bellaire.

Gage Passick was transported to Ben Taub Hospital on Aug. 19 around 12:30 a.m. after falling 40 feet through a skylight and landing on a wooden bench, Bellaire police said.

Passick and his friends, Eric Hauptfeisch, a 19-year-old Bellaire resident and Camerom Lumpford, an 18-year-old Houston resident, climber over a locked gate and scaled a brick wall to gain access to the church’s roof.

The males told Bellaire police officers that they went on the roof to look at the stars and drink beer, police said.

While the men were on the roof, Passick fell through a skylight into the church.

Hauptfeisch and Lumpford were arrested and charged with criminal trespass.

Passick will face charges of criminal trespass when he recovers from his injuries, police said.
