Bellaire police were called to CVS Pharmacy, 5430 Bissonnet, on Aug. 27 because a shoplifter walked out of the store with toothpaste and deodorant.
Police officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The toothpaste and the deodorant were recovered because the suspect had dumped it, police said.
This incident is under investigation.
On Aug. 24, a purse was stolen from an unattended shopping cart in the 5800 block of Bissonnet.
On Aug. 25, an unknown suspect used a Bellaire resident’s personal information for hospital visits and opened an account with Comcast Cable.
On Aug. 27, a large brass water valve was removed from some piping in the 4700 block of Bellaire, causing a large water leak.
On Aug. 29, an unknown person fraudulently attempted to obtain replacement credit cards using someone else’s identifying information.
