The Debbie Marshall Recycling Center will be closing on Sept. 30 because of the success of Bellaire’s curbside recycling program.
The city started a curbside recycling program in 2006 and has expanded that program to include glass, paper, cardboard, metal, plastic and thin plastic.

As the summer winds down, average retail gasoline prices in the Bellaire area dropped 3.6 cents per gallon in the past week.
