Bellaire police said seven burglaries have been reported between April 30th to May 6th. The first four burglaries happened on April 30th.

According to police reports, a Bellaire officer was flagged down in the 5100 block of Jessamine around 8:22 p.m. by a METRO bus driver for an assault that had occurred.

The suspect evaded police and was arrested in the 7000 block of S. Third St.

Clas Act Thomas, a 25-year-old Missouri City resident, was arrested for evading arrest/detention.

Thomas is being held in Harris County jail on a $5,000 bond.

According to court records, Thomas has a criminal history including unlawful labeled recordings and criminal trespass.

Bellaire was assisted in the case by the Metro Police Department, the South Side Place Police Department and the Houston Independent School District Police.

According to police reports, officers were dispatched to Earthman’s Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris, on April 27 around 9 p.m. to investigate a burglary alarm.

When police arrived, officers found a male sitting in a chair on the computer in the rear office.

Police discovered that the person was a missing juvenile from the City of Houston.

The male, whose name was not released, was taken into custody for criminal trespass.

According to police reports, an officer pulled over a vehicle in the 5500 block of Bissonnet on April 5 for failing to use a turn signal.

During the traffic stop the officer could smell alcohol on the woman and a toddler was in the vehicle, the report said.

Officers contacted the father and released the child to him. Child Protective Services was also contacted, according to the report.

Lisa Berry-Tucker was arrested for DWI with a child under 15 years of age.

According to documents on file with the Harris County District Clerk’s office, Berry-Tucker has a criminal history which includes DWI, possession of marijuana, theft and prostitution.

She was released from jail after posting a $2,000 bond.

A security alert email sent out by the Meyerland Community Improvement Association warned shoppers against keeping their cellphones out in the open.

According to police reports, a Houston Police Department Narcotics Officer contacted the Bellaire Police Department on March 6 to stop a vehicle driving through Bellaire.

An officer pulled the vehicle over in the 5400 block of Bellaire around 4:27 p.m. on a traffic violation.

During a search of the vehicle, the officer found 79 grams of methamphetamines and 59.4 grams of marijuana in the vehicle, according to the report.

Trinity Jefferson, a 37-year-old Colfax, LA resident, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.

Jamie Mullins, a 26-year-old Alexandria, LA resident, was charged with possession of marijuana.

Both suspects are currently in jail. Jefferson is being held without bond. Mullins is being held on a $1,000 bond.

According to police reports, officers were called to the discount store at 5861 Bissonnet on Feb. 29 because two females were placing items inside a black and white handbag.

When officers arrived, the women had exited the store and were seen driving through the parking lot.

Police stopped the vehicle and the women admitted to stealing the items so they could give them to their ailing mother, according to the report.

The women stolen numerous items including Summers Eve body spray and lotion, Johnsons baby lotion, underwear, get well cards, Secret deodorant, headbands, slippers, wipes, Kotex feminine products, a brush and gum, police said. The total value of the stolen items was $96.75.

Yolanda Norton, a 28-year-old Spring resident and Dominique Johnson, a 35-year-old Houston resident were arrested and charged with class B theft.

They were released from jail after posting a $500 bond.
