Bellaire celebrated the Fourth of July with their “Grand Ole Flag” festivities on Saturday.
A children’s parade led the way for the parade to Bellaire Town Square with a festival afterwards.
The festival included carnival games, a petting zoo, dunking booth and inflatables. Food was sold by local vendors and civic groups.

Condit Elementary School Principal Fred Bowyer was surprised today with a $1,000 personal prize and $2,500 for his school through the H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards. Bowyer was one of eight Houston-area educators to win awards. He is now eligible to participate in a statewide competition to win up to $25,000.
